- This course will develop your understanding about your responsibilities for health and safety, safeguarding children, and young people,?how to support pupils all round learning and development,??supporting the work of the team. Learn about the current legislative frameworks that influence policies and practice within schools.??This qualification is appropriate for any school setting: primary, secondary, and special schools.? This course is suitable for those already with TA experience of a few years and are looking to progress higher up into HLTA/Teaching Qual.
- Course level and content
- This is a Level 3 course. You must have done the pre-requisit Level 2 STLS course to study this course. You also must have minimum Level 2/GCSE in English and or Maths.
- What do you need?

You need to have a 12 hour per week placement in a School - you must have this ready and confirmed PRIOR to the course starting. If you are employed already by a school already as a TA your 12 hours can be that. However, without the 12 hours placement you cannot study this course as your tutor needs to observe you within your setting.
You need to have access to a laptop/compter/word processor to access our ounline platform for work submissiosns.
You will need to come equipt to class with a notepad and pen. - What can I do next?
- Your next steps will be to continue with volunteering, progress to employment, increase your time and role within your setting. We also offer a variety of additional bolt on courses to aid your development such as Safeguarding, Specific Learning Difficutlies, Neuroscience, Equality and Diversity and Mental Health. Information and Guidance will be given to you at the end of your course. You could also progress onto getting a Teaching Qualification.
