In this course you will learn aspects of Folk Art through watercolour. Looking at famous artists and Folk Art techniques, you will produce finished watercolour paintings and work in a sketchbook. Mixed media with watercolour may also be used in some weeks of the course. Using watercolour techniques, you will grow in confidence and have a reference of your work at the end of the 10 weeks.
This is a leisure course, therefore no PLR paperwork required. - Course level and content

This course is suitable for all levels, beginners to intermediate.
What will I learn?
• Use a range of watercolour techniques
• Develop practical skills in basic drawing, sketching and transferring images from photographs
• Colour mixing, use of various mediums including gouache and ink as well as watercolours - What do you need?

Learners do not need to have many materials or equipment immediately. The basic equipment consists of:
Drawing pencils, putty rubber, acrylic painting pad A4, canvas (size to be advised in class), zest it oil painting medium, oil paints, acrylic paints, oil and acrylic paint brushes, painting apron, table top easel or art board to lean on. - Enrolment status
