- Overview
- Taking inspiration from the stage and screen, the Dance to Musicals course is the perfect way to escape into a theatrical world, exploring characterisation while developing strength, stamina and dance technique. Each week you will dance along to a variety of music from popular musicals, both new and old, and you will have the chance to express yourself through dance and drama!
- Course level and content

• Warm-up sequences to ensure muscles are limbered and to improve strength, flexibility and technique
• Exercises to help warm-up specific body parts and improve coordination, control and flexibility
• Theatrical performance routines, combining a variety of dance steps, from a range of dance styles, such as ballet, lyrical, modern jazz, depending on the particular musical number. (The steps taught are routine specific but will be made accessible to all, regardless of prior experience or start point; you will be encouraged to develop relative to the progress you have made over time and/or your starting point.)
• Dance techniques: timing, musicality, stage presence, expression, pattern formation - What do you need?

For all Dance Musical Theatre classes:
• Appropriate footwear includes: jazz shoes, jazz trainers or sports footwear that is flexible, non-slippery and supportive.
• Loose comfortable clothing
• Bottle of water
• Sweat towel if required - What can I do next?

We also provide other dance courses such as Ballroom & Latin, Modern Jazz, Lyrical Contemporary Dance, Ballet or Belly Dancing.
