- Course aim

The aim of this communication workshop is to enhance participants’ knowledge of alternative communication methods and to help them identify whether they require further training or information on specific communication systems. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of communication systems, enabling them to recognise which approaches may support their child or young person in expressing their wants and needs, or in progressing their communication skills to promote personal development and self-esteem.
- Course outcomes

The objectives of the workshop are to support the development of positive relationships between participants and the child or young person they support, to improve collaboration between service users and fostering families/residential carers etc, and to achieve successful outcomes in both personal and professional contexts through accessible and effective information sharing.
