To enable foster carers who are supporting children to move onto their adoptive families to understand the theory and research behind the transition planning used by ACE and how they can best support the children through this process.

By the end of the course participants will:

To learn about the expectations that will be placed on you as foster carers moving a child on to an adoptive placement.

To refresh knowledge and consider the importance of attachment-based transitions

To think about how you care for a child, how you prepare a child and how you pass on your knowledge and skills to adopters.
