Highways Act 1980 S31A Public Register

Since 1932 landowners have been able to prevent rights of way being created over their land by providing their local highways authority with a written declaration of accepted rights of way that are 'renewed' every 10 years.

Under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000, we have to make these documents available on a public register.
