The three prime areas are particularly important for learning and forming relationships. They build a foundation for children to thrive and provide the basis for learning in all areas.

Communication and language
Communication and Language underpins all areas of learning and development. Children develop their speaking, listening and understanding skills through conversations, shared stories, songs, rhymes and role play in language-rich environments that build vocabulary and confidence. As early years practitioners, we support children in their earliest stages of communication and provide the foundation for all areas of learning and development.

Little Coventry Communicators – Our bespoke training will support practitioners in developing their confidence and skills when working with children and supporting their communication and language. Three tiers of training are available with dates and further information available on our Eventbrite site.
Physical development
Physical Development supports children to develop strength, coordination, balance and overall wellbeing. Through active play, movement and opportunities to practise fine motor skills, children build the foundations needed for healthy lifestyles, independence and early writing. In their earliest years, we can provide children with vital opportunities for developing their gross and fine motor skills which will enable them to pursue happy, healthy and active lives.

Personal, social and emotional development
Personal, Social and Emotional Development helps children build positive relationships, understand and manage their emotions, and develop confidence and resilience. We use supportive interactions and adult guidance to support children to learn to cooperate with others, become independent and develop a positive sense of self. Personal, Social and Emotional Development provision helps children to lead healthy and happy lives with a secure platform from which they can achieve at school and in later life.
