Each month, the Urban Rangers host a weekday Volunteer with the Rangers session — a great opportunity to get involved in practical outdoor work and help enhance our green spaces.

Join the Urban Rangers for this month’s volunteer session, where you’ll be helping to remove old tree corrals.

Corrals are wooden fence structures built around young trees to protect them as they establish and grow. Now that the trees are mature, it’s time to remove the corrals, along with any overgrown vegetation and lower branches. This will give the trees more space and create a much more open feel across the site.

Sessions are free to attend and open to adults aged 18+. You’re welcome to stay for the whole session or drop in for as long as you can — any help is greatly appreciated by the Rangers

Suitable clothing for working outdoors in all weathers is essential, so please wear sturdy footwear and bring a waterproof and a drink.
