Trudy Hillier will talk about how Shakespeare uses flowers, trees and other aspects of the natural world in his plays then Derek Robinson will lead a tour of London Road Cemetery to find some of the trees and plants we have learned about. Trudy Hillier will discuss some of the many references to the natural world in Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets.

We’ll discuss how Shakespeare particularly uses flowers, trees and other aspects of the natural world in his plays. We’ll talk, then refreshments will be available, followed by a walk round London Road Cemetery with Derek Robinson, expert on the trees in the cemetery.
