Explore The Weaver’s House for free. Experience 1540s life, visit the medieval garden and enjoy refreshments.

Step back in time and see how John Croke, a Coventry narrow-loom weaver, and his family lived and worked in the 1540s. Our beautifully restored historic building features a full-size replica of a medieval loom in the upstairs ‘solar’ room.

Wander through our working medieval garden and discover plants used for food, flavouring, medicine, and household purposes. Enjoy fascinating talks about the daily life of a weaver in medieval times and the history of the building. You might even catch some weaving and spinning demonstrations during your visit!

Don’t forget to treat yourself to some tea, coffee, and homemade cakes served on Open Days.

Note: The solar room with the loom is accessed by a ladder. Suggested last entry time is 3.30pm. While entry is free, donations are always welcome. For more details, visit the Weaver's House website.
