The chests are more than just containers for storing things; they are containers of significance and memories that played an important role in the lives of those who used them over the centuries.
Learn about their uses and significance during the Medieval Period, and what they meant to the people who used them and depended on them. Discover the different types of chests, their construction and the available methods of dating chests, including dendrochronology, or tree-ring dating.
