Coventry and Warwickshire food and drink producers' network
Coventry and Warwickshire is home to an abundance of high-quality produce, artisan makers and irresistible food and drink experiences.
Coventry and Warwickshire’s food and drink sector generates over £650m for the local visitor economy and the Coventry and Warwickshire Food and Drink Network aims to support this important sector, through the creation of strong local peer support networks, industry events and business support. The Coventry and Warwickshire Producers' Network (CWPN) is a local initiative, run by Warwickshire County Council and Coventry City Council supporting food and drink producers across the region. It provides a collaborative space to share challenges, explore solutions, and uncover new opportunities, with insights from a range of industry experts.
Joining the network meetings enables you to seek and offer industry specific support and collaborate with other producers. Sector specific news and opportunities are also emailed to those in the network. All networking meetings run from 9.30am for a 10am start and places are limited, so booking is essential.
Our first event of 2026 welcomed over 50 food, drink and hospitality businesses from across Coventry and Warwickshire to the newly opened Fat Bobs at The Blue Lias in Warwickshire and included a series of timely presentations and updates. Speakers covered, key changes to food standards legislation; new programmes available to support recruitment and training and a round robin of speed introductions where attendees gave shout outs for their business along with one opportunity or challenge.
The latest meeting in April was held at Elle's in Coventry which is home to independent kitchens and boutique bars all under one roof. The guest speaker was Corin Crane, CEO of CW Chamber who provided an economic overview for the sector. He said, food and drink businesses define places. They shape the identity of cities and towns, and they are often the reason people choose to visit in the first place. Food and drink is vital to local economies, supporting thousands of jobs and independent businesses, and that’s why it’s so important that government and partners continue to support the sector to grow.
Reflecting on the value of the network, one business owner commented:
“It’s great to find a space where producers, venues and suppliers can talk so openly. These meetings help us find opportunities, find out what’s coming down the line and identify where we can support each other.”
