A single point of contact for property and road searches
We can help with information on:
- Extents of the adopted highway, including a map or plan. This is provided by individual road name. A charge for a single search per road or site is £75.00.
- Public footpaths.
- Highway status of named roads.
- Detailed mapping - only for background information and licence issues.
The Highways Adoptions information provided is the current position of Highway Adoptions in the City of Coventry, at the date of provision of that information. Adoption information changes on a regular basis, so this information is given on the distinct understanding that the information can change and that neither the City Council nor any of its officers shall be legally responsible for out of date information. We cannot guarantee that the information provided will remain fixed within a defined period.
How to apply
Turnaround is usually within a week upon receipt of payment.
In the first instance email HighwaysAdoptions@coventry.gov.uk with details of your requirements.
When describing the location of the property/site of interest, please provide the postcode, road name and postal number - or description of the location. Add any additional information that you may have to assist us with the identification.
Payment is required before the information is provided. Online payment is preferred.
How to pay
When you have received the enquiry number from us via return email, go to our online payment portal.
- Select ‘Pay for it’
- Select ‘Other Payments’
- Select ‘Parking, travel and Streets’
- Select ‘Highways - search fees’
- Add the Enquiry number using the reference that we will supply by email.
- Add the amount (£75.00).
Cheques should be made payable to Coventry City Council and sent to Highways Technical Services (Whitley) Coventry City Council PO Box 15 Council House Coventry CV1 5RR.
