Licensing and Regulatory Committee

The Licensing and Regulatory Committee makes decisions on various licensing matters (such as alcohol, public entertainment, gambling, taxis and private hire) and on various public protection prosecutions brought by the City Council. The Committee has 14 councillors and meets every four weeks.

Sometimes, sub-committees will be arranged to look at particular licensing applications, for example where there have been objections from local residents or the police.
