Today, we want to highlight the work of our Street scene team.

We take pride in the streets we live and work in, and our Street scene team works 52 weeks a year, to keep them feeling safe and clean. This is something that our community cares about too. Through our recent Your Voice Counts survey, over 300 Coventry residents said that keeping Coventry clean is their top priority.

Our Street scene team is part of everyday life in Coventry. They sweep the roads and pavements, help care for the city’s green spaces, and pick up litter in your local area.

Over the last year, the team has worked tirelessly to keep streets free from rubbish, including emptying and maintaining over 3,000 public bins. They also work alongside residents and voluntary groups, to pick up 2,100 tonnes of litter each year.

The work to keep Coventry clean isn’t just about grass and roads, it’s about creating a city you can enjoy. By removing over 1,500 tonnes of litter and debris each year, streets and parks feel safer, tidier, and more pleasant for residents, workers, and visitors alike.

If you spot overflowing bins, littering or street cleansing issues, you can report it to the team.
