Alex found work as a therapy assistant through our supported internship programme which provides invaluable opportunities for young people – who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Alex feels as if it was important to engage in experiences like this and believes the internships are “one of the best things to have an impact on people with special need’s lives”.

Coventry wants to create more opportunities for young people.
By helping them to gain work experience and successfully transition from education into employment, the scheme forms an important part of Coventry’s wider Job Shop service, which works to break down barriers into employment and connect residents with jobs, training, and support.
