Our vision

Our aim is to promote and protect the physical and mental wellbeing of your workforce.

We believe in a complete health and care offer, from training and prevention to assessments, treatment and counselling.

We are proud to have SEQOHS Accreditation, which means we meet the highest quality standards, and we work from a self-contained city centre site, with clinical and counselling rooms, high quality screening equipment, and the capability of running satellite clinics.

We cover areas such as employee wellbeing, health assessment and screening, vaccination programmes, ergonomic checks, wellbeing events and activities, health promotion information and training workshops.

Our service offers training on issues including Emotional Resilience, Stress Management, Managing Mental Health in the Workplace, Dealing with Conflict and Aggression and lots more.

We know that by caring for staff, we can help businesses cut down on employee turnover, make sure their employees are happy and healthy in their roles and reduce the threat of legal action.

By doing that, we can help create a healthy and prosperous work environment for all.

We are an accredited service

SEQOHS stands for Safe, Effective, Quality Occupational Health Service and is a professional accreditation scheme for occupational health services across the UK.

SEQOHS Accreditation is the formal recognition that our occupational health service demonstrates competence and meets the highest quality standards.

The scheme is managed by the Royal College of  Physicians on behalf of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.

A coordinated approach to employee health and wellbeing

  • Medical Officers
  • Occupational Health Advisers
  • Counsellors
  • First Aid Trainers
  • Casual register
  • Dedicated administration support
  • Health Promotion Nurses
  • Ergonomic Assessors / Physiotherapists

Allows continuity of service, case discussion and rapid intervention.

Employees are seen by the same person on re-referral. Unplanned absences do not delay referrals.

For example. we can discuss psychological progress with counsellors, or refer an employee to health nurses for smoking cessation or weight management support and give rapid access to CBT to overcome negative mindsets and the MSK clinic for functional assessment and practical advice and exercises.

We have found this to be the most effective way of helping to manage health at work and helping to achieve an early return to work.

Case tracking

Case Management

We use the CORITY system for case management.

Pre-Employment Questionnaires

Form templates can be made available through the OHSW service functional mailbox: ohsw@coventry.gov.uk [mailto:ohsw@coventry.gov.uk], and can be returned with password protection.

Health assessment referrals and clinical notes

All referrals and clinical records will be maintained on the CORITY system against the employee’s details. This enables an overview of all activities taking place for the employee. Outcomes are easily identified, and outstanding tasks can be monitored and followed up in a timely manner contributing to an effective and efficient service. The information feeds into statistical reporting and contract monitoring

Appointments

Clinical diaries are maintained on the CORITY system which enables easy identification of available appointment slots. The waiting room can be monitored at the point of assessment.  The diary/appointment details feed into statistical reporting and contract monitoring

Health Surveillance Programmes

CORITY supports a comprehensive range of health surveillance activities and provides a recall and reminder system. The information from the health surveillance activities feed into statistical reporting and contract monitoring, including reports for trend monitoring.

Statistics and Reporting

The system is able to gather and collate statistics for trend analysis and monitoring the use of the Service.
