Emergency First Aid at work
Overview
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) is a 1-day training course designed to provide first aiders with the knowledge and skills they need to respond effectively to emergency situations in the workplace.
Target group
Where the needs within the workplace demand First Aid cover.
Candidates should be calm, reliable and have the aptitude and ability to cope with a course of study.
Aim
Delegates will be able to identify a emergency in the workplace to ensure the safety of themselves, the casualty and the public, assess the extent of an injury or illness and summon for appropriate help. The candidate will be able to perform lifesaving skills, prevent any deterioration of a casualty’s condition, promote the recovery and recognise the legal requirements and responsibilities of a First Aider
