Friends of Parks

Many of the parks or greenspaces in Coventry have a 'Friends of Group', which is an interested team of people who volunteer together to improve their local area.
A Friends of Group can be involved in:
- Fundraising
- Events
- Inputting into how the greenspaces are managed
- Litter picking
- Practical tasks such as tree planting, vegetation management

War Memorial Park
The Friends of War Memorial Park group run regular volunteering sessions in the sensory garden and litter picks.
Spencer Park
The Friends of Spencer Park is a group of residents who are co-operating to improve Spencer Park.
Allesley Park
The Allesley Park Walled Garden Group run a community garden with a strong emphasis on education, heritage and chemical-free vegetable production.
The Friends of Allesley Park meet every Tuesday afternoon from 2pm to 4pm to tend several gardens and wildlife sites that they have created around the park.
Gosford Park
The Gosford Park Residents' Association is a lively and busy organisation who are passionate about making their area nicer, cleaner, safer, and generally, a great place to live.
Stoke Green
The Stoke Park Residents Group represent the local residents of the area including Stoke Green Park.
Prior Deram Park and Parkwood Meadows
The Friends Of Canley Green Spaces organise activities to enable volunteers to improve the natural green spaces that surround Canley.

Lake View Park
The Friends of Lake View Park are passionate about making it a place for everyone to enjoy.
Charterhouse Heritage Park
Now managed by National Trust in partnership with Historic Coventry Trust.
Longford Park
Friends of Longford Park don't have an online presence, however if you are interested in volunteering with the group please email urbanrangers@coventry.gov.uk
Sowe Valley
The Friends of Sowe Valley aim to care for and enhance the River Sowe corridor, looking after both the river and surrounding green spaces for both wildlife and people.
Naul's Mill Park
The Friends Of Naul's Mill Park are committed to respecting, nurturing and celebrating this beautiful green space.
Moat House Park
The Friends of Moat House Park meet and socialise with people who are interested in preserving and protecting the park. The group also get involved in gardening and growing.
