Who we are

  • An experienced team who have worked with students displaying challenging behaviour, in Schools, Extended Learning Centres and Alternative Provision settings across the City, for many years.
  • We also work with students in the home who are struggling to access education and those in transition who need extra support such as Students with EHCP’s and CIN.
  • Our team is made up of staff who have a wealth of behaviour support experience from working with students in Alternative Provision, Nursery, Primary, Secondary, Care settings, Pastoral, Attendance, Mentoring and Counselling.
  • We currently have a dedicated member of the team assigned to each secondary school in the city and team members who have worked in many Primary Settings.
  • We aim to build relationships with parents, students and schools by supporting on a one-to-one basis, offering impartial advice, support and a fresh perspective.
  • We deliver various protective behaviours interventions to suit the SEMHL needs of the student.
  • Our support is delivered in the form of intervention work designed to improve educational/behavioural outcomes for students.
  • We can offer a bespoke traded offer at school's request including all year-round support or ad-hoc shorter support packages.

What we do

  • Liaise with parents/carers, schools and other professionals involved, to explore root causes of behaviour.
  • Work in the home supporting students back into education.
  • Deliver transition packages for vulnerable students moving from Primary to Secondary schools or one school/setting to another.
  • Monitor progress/outcomes against negotiated targets over a fixed period.
  • Offer bespoke behaviour interventions, tailored to individual behavioural and emotional needs of the student and school.
  • Deliver interventions designed to promote a more positive prospective of a student’s behaviour and wellbeing
  • Work on behaviour scripts which can be practised over a period to establish better habits of behaviour
  • Work with support staff in the school/educational setting, to ensure interventions can continue when ours end
  • Provide the school with a Partnership Plan which can be used to partner ‘My Plans’ and/or to inform good practice within the school/educational setting, on finalising support.
