2026 to 2027 season

The fishery remains closed while essential works are ongoing/being planned in for the coming weeks. We currently anticipate that works will recommence in the first week of July 2026, and we will provide further updates as soon as a confirmed programme and timeline are in place.

Due to the nature of the works and the extended programme, it is unlikely that the fishery will reopen during the current season. We appreciate that this will be disappointing news, particularly for those who had been looking forward to purchasing their season tickets and fishing the lake.

Reservoir safety remains our top priority, and these works are critical to ensuring the long-term integrity and safety of the site.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this period.

If you wish to return your fishery key from the previous season and receive your deposit back, please contact the Information Centre on 02476 453720 (between 10am to 3pm) or email coombe@coventry.gov.uk [mailto:coombe@coventry.gov.uk]. We can then arrange a suitable time for returning the key and your deposit.

Rules and reporting incidents

Coombe Pool is regarded as one of Warwickshire's premier fisheries.

For your enjoyment and to help keep up the standard of the water, we ask that members and visitors to the water abide by the fishery rules [http://www.coventry.gov.uk/downloads/download/2531/season_ticket_application_forms_and_rules_at_coombe_pool_fishery]. Failure to comply with these rules could result in withdrawal of your season ticket and permission to use the fishery.

Adherence to all of the rules is an essential condition of your permission to fish at Coombe Pool, however we would like to remind anglers that:

  •  Dogs are not permitted in the fishery at any time. This rule does not apply to assistance dogs.
  •  Guests/family members, without a valid ticket and rod license, are not permitted in the fishery.

If there is anything you are unsure about or wish to report at the fishery, please do not hesitate to contact the Visitor Centre.
