- Overview
- This course will help you to develop your understanding around health and safety, safeguarding babies and children, how to support development, supporting the work of the team and the current legislative framework that influences policies and practice within Early Years settings up to reception.
- Course level and content
- This is a Level 2 course. You must have Level 1 English and or Maths to study this course. You must also have a baseline knowledge of Early Years settings and be passionate about working with babies and young children.
- What do you need?

You need to have a 6 hour per week placement in a Nursery - you must have this ready and confirmed PRIOR to the course starting. If you do not have a placement - you CANNOT complete the course. You tutor will need to observe you within your setting.
You need to have access to a laptop/computer/word processor to access our online platform for work submissions.
You will need to come equipt to class with a notepad and pen. - What can I do next?
- This course will give you a good knowledge and understanding of what it is like to work in a nursery setting and or is your license to be employed as an EYP in a nursery. You can progress further if suitable to study L3. Similarly, we offer other courses relevant such as Safeguarding, Specific Learning Difficutlies, Neuroscience, Equality and Diversity and Mental Health. Information and Guidance will be given to you at the end of your course.
