Fairer coventry yellow banner

In a fair society everyone has the same opportunities, regardless of social class, age, disability, race, gender, sexual orientation, or identity.

The Council is here for every resident in the city, throughout their lives. It’s also important that we work to reduce any unfair and avoidable differences that vulnerable people and residents in our more disadvantaged communities or circumstances face.

Improving outcomes and tackling inequalities within our communities is one of the three key priorities in the Council’s strategic One Coventry Plan.

This priority focuses on improving outcomes for local people and tackling inequalities in order to build prosperity across the city, protecting the most vulnerable and supporting and valuing the contribution of our residents.

Fairer Coventry in action

One of the ways we're working towards a fairer Coventry is by promoting digital inclusion throughout the city.

Our pioneering #CovConnect Device bank is a programme to help reduce the digital divide in Coventry.

It supports voluntary, community, charity and social enterprise organisations to access digital devices, which can be distributed to communities and residents.
