The Department for Transport (DfT) is current consulting on changes to legislation that would update the classification of mobility devices, including whether disabled people should be allowed to use a cycle as a mobility aid, and whether more types of mobility device should be allowed to use cycle lanes and cycle tracks. Find out more and have your say at the DfT consultation page. Consultation open until 22 March 2026.
