The Council does not set your Council Tax band. If you think your property is in the wrong council tax band you should contact the Valuation Office Agency.
If you think your Council Tax bill is wrong then please let us know as soon as possible. Please tell us why you think your bill is wrong but please continue to make your payments.
We will review your bill and issue a corrected bill if appropriate.
You can appeal against our decision if:

When we receive your appeal we will review your account and respond to you in writing. If we agree that your liability is incorrect we will issue a new bill. If we think our original decision is correct then we will write to you to explain why.
We are required to respond to appeals within 2 months but will normally respond to you sooner. If we do not respond to you within 2 months you can appeal directly to the Valuation Tribunal.
If you are not satisfied with our decision on your appeal you can appeal to the Valuation Tribunal within 2 months of our decision.
