LCWIP overview
Coventry's Transport Strategy identified cycling and walking as a key priority to achieve some of the council's wider corporate objectives. Our Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) will be a daughter document of the main Transport Strategy, and will identify in more detail where new cycle routes and improvements for pedestrians will be delivered in the city.
The LCWIP is a live document, and will be updated from time-to-time in response to changes in policy, new developments or emerging priorities. The LCWIP will help us obtain funding from government, developers and other funding partners.
The first part of pulling together the LCWIP will be to collect data on people's existing activity and preferences, and what barriers they face when walking, wheeling or cycling. This survey will be open from 26 January until 8 March 2026. This page will be updated when this survey goes live.
