A schedule for Bands in the Park

The Bands in the Parks series of events start this Sunday (11 June) with the Brass Band of Central England (formally known as the Jaguar Land Rover Band) performing in the War Memorial Park from 2pm.

The events are a relaxing, family-friendly, musical experience held in many of the city’s beautiful parks. All Bands in the Park events take place on a Sunday afternoon from June until September and are free to attend.

This Sunday’s concert kicks off this summer’s series of 10 concerts, with the final event ending in the historic Caludon Castle park held in conjunction with the Heritage Open Days taking place across the city and country in September.

These free mini concerts always cover a wide variety of musical styles and bands. They aim to entertain and create a fun atmosphere for crowds to enjoy.

Councillor Abdul Salam Khan, Coventry City Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Parks said: “I’m always pleased to be able to welcome back this much-loved series of mini concerts for people to get out into the fresh air and listen to some great music.

“Bands in the Park always welcomes the arrival of summer and what better way is there to spend an afternoon than in one of our stunning parks enjoying some fabulous entertainment?

“I hope everyone enjoys this great series of free events and continue to enjoy all our lovely parks across the city.”

Join us and make a Sunday that bit more special.
