Coventry City Council is asking people in Coventry about walking, wheeling and cycling.

We are asking people about how much of their usual physical activity comes from active travel, the barriers they face, and their preferences for the types of cycle routes that may enable them to cycle more.

The results of this engagement will inform our emerging Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP).   This will be a document that sets out a complete vision for walking, wheeling and cycling in the city, building on the ongoing investment in strategic cycle routes and local improvements such as School Streets and Liveable Neighbourhoods.

Having an LCWIP in place will provide a stronger basis to request funding from government and the private sector.  It will also give communities a clearer picture of how the active travel network will ultimately fit together.

We would be grateful if you would promote this survey.

Because we are keen to understand barriers to active travel, it is important that this survey reaches people who may not already travel actively.

This survey is open to anyone who lives in, works in or studies in Coventry, and people who regularly visit the city.

Please visit www.coventry.gov.uk/lcwip for more information and to have your say.  The survey is open until 8 March.
