Pride in Place

Willenhall has been awarded £20 million through the Government's Pride in Place programme - £2 million a year for the next ten years - to help shape a stronger, safer and more connected community, led by local people.

A community-led programme

Pride in Place puts residents at the heart of decision-making. In Willenhall, that means a new Neighbourhood Board will work with the community to agree priorities and decide how the funding is used, from improving local spaces and facilities to supporting activities that build pride, opportunity and wellbeing in the area.

The Willenhall Neighbourhood Board

The Board brings together residents, local organisations and partners to shape and oversee the programme. It's chaired by Reverend Matthew Bull, from St John the Divine in Willenhall, working alongside Mary Creagh, MP for Coventry East, and supported by Coventry City Council.
