Hillfields Pride in Place
Hillfields has been awarded £20 million through the Government's Pride in Place programme - £2 million a year for the next ten years - to help shape a stronger, safer and more connected community, led by local people.
A community-led programme
Pride in Place puts residents at the heart of decision-making. In Hillfields, that means a new Neighbourhood Board will work with the community to agree priorities and decide how the funding is used, from improving local spaces and facilities to supporting activities that build pride, opportunity and wellbeing in the area.
The Hillfields Neighbourhood Board
When set up, the Board will bring together residents, local organisations and partners to shape and oversee the programme. Currently, the chair is being appointed by Zarah Sultana, Member of Parliament for Coventry South and supported by Coventry City Council.
