COVID-19 (Coronavirus) update

As we emerge from what has been one of the most challenging times in our lives we are now looking forward to our road to recovery.

We are pleased to be opening all of our venues ready for the Autumn courses. We are looking forward to delivering courses both in the classroom and for learners to access online at home.

Coventry Adult Education Service is committed to running a high-quality service, putting the safety and welfare of our staff and learners as our top priority. We have followed Government and Council advice and have risk assessed all areas of our service to allow us to open up in a controlled and responsible way.

We will continue to ask all staff and learners to wear face coverings in public and communal areas, however, these may be removed in classrooms.

We will continue to provide access to hand gel and cleaning materials to wipe down work areas. We offer access to home testing kits and of course ensure that rigorous hygiene and sanitisation measures are in place in venues.

If you have symptoms or have a positive test result, you must self-isolate and not attend your course. Please follow the Government website for the most up-to-date information.

General advice remains:

  • Stay Safe: Hands, Face, Space and Air
  • Stay Kind: Remember we’re all in this together so respect others when out and be kind

The Adult Education Service offers courses to help you to:

  • feel less isolated, help you maintain your health and wellbeing, build confidence and connect with other people.
  • help you develop the skills to get the most out of using the internet, setting up email accounts and using basic software such as Microsoft Teams to be able to take part in online courses, have virtual discussions or job search.
  • bring out your creative side through our various arts and crafts courses.
  • develop your vocational skills and gain qualifications to help you get a job, develop in your current role or move into a totally different area of work.
