The Council's Statement of Accounts is prepared in accordance with the Code of Practice on local authority accounting in the United Kingdom.
Statement of accounts 2024-25
A draft of the Council’s 2024-25 Statement of Accounts was authorised for issue by the Director of Finance and Resources on 30 June 2025. This document is now subject to public inspection and audit by the Council’s external auditors, Grant Thornton.

Statement of accounts 2023-24
The Council’s 2023-24 Statement of Accounts [https://www.coventry.gov.uk/downloads/file/44412/statement-of-accounts-2023-2024] was approved by the Audit and Procurement Committee on 17 February 2025. The Statement of Accounts includes the report and opinion of our external auditors, Grant Thornton.
The external audit concluded on 26 August 2025 following work completed by the National Audit Office. The external auditors have issued their audit certificate, and this concludes the 2023-24 audit.
