Warm Homes: Local Grant

Get a grant to improve your properties.

Landlords in Hillfields, Upper Stoke or Lower Stoke are currently signing up for this project.

Through the project, landlords can get cheaper access to improvements, such as wall insulation, solar panels or a heat pump.

The improvements are dependent on your property and are designed to increase its Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating to a minimum of C.

The project will cover 70% of the total cost of these upgrades. Meaning you only have to cover the remaining 30%.

The Renters’ Rights Act means landlords will need to upgrade properties to meet EPC and C.

So why not take advantage of this project and future proof your properties now.  

Eligibility criteria

To qualify for the scheme:

• the property must currently have an EPC rating of D or E, subject to exemptions,
• your tenants must qualify for funding
  • The household must earn less than £36,000 a year or receive benefits.
  • The property must be within an area marked as 1-2 on the Index of Multiple Deprivation.
