Kickstart Scheme

Kickstart scheme logo

The Employer Hub, part of Coventry City Council's Employment & Skills Service is continuing our working relationship with the Department of Work & Pensions to offer free support to businesses with the delivery of the newly launched Kickstart Scheme. You can use the Kickstart Scheme to create new 6-month job placements for young people who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment. The job placements should support the participants to develop the skills and experience they need to find work after completing the scheme. We can work as an intermediary to help from start to finish.

Our service

  • We will handle all administrative work required in submitting bids as well as setting up consortiums to reach the required 30 vacancies.
  • We currently work with a large number of 16-24 year olds, using our Job Shop talent pool we can pre-screen and find the right candidate for you.
  • Ongoing wrap around support will be available when the young person is in role to ensure the commitment to DWP is being fulfilled.
  • Additional employment funding opportunities available throughout the year. Funding of up to £2,500* T&Cs apply.
