COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and libraries

From Monday 19 July 2021, to keep Coventry safe Coventry Libraries Service will:

  • retain Track & Trace
  • expect library visitors to wear face coverings
  • be aware of social distancing
  • use hand sanitiser and wipes

Current reduced library opening hours will continue for the immediate future. Find the opening hours and contact details of your local library.

Some library meeting rooms, toilets, seating areas and tables are not available due to COVID safety measures.

Coventry libraries are open for browsing, up to two hour computer use and to click and collect a bundle of books without needing to book an appointment. Just pop in next time you're passing.

Any items already on loan are renewed until Monday 16 August 2021.

Every year Coventry libraries run the Summer Reading Challenge (SRC), calling for children to sign up to read six books over the summer holiday. This year children can join in the fun at Coventry Libraries from Saturday 10 July until early September.
