Tip to You
Bringing the Tip to You
We want to keep Coventry clean and a place you love to live. You’ve told us that fly tipping is one of the things that bothers you most.
Thanks to additional funding from the Government, we have more money to help clean up the city and help local people to manage their waste better.
So we are coming to some streets where fly-tipping is a problem and we will collect large items that you cannot put in your wheelie bins.
If we are coming to your street, we will send you a letter. It will tell you:
- when we are coming
- what we can collect
- where to leave your items
You will also get six stickers.
Put a sticker on each item you want us to collect. Make sure your items are ready on the day shown in your letter.
We can collect:
- fridges, freezers and washing machines
- sofas, tables, chairs and cabinets
- small electrical items, such as toasters and kettles
- black bags of rubbish
- mattresses

We cannot collect:
- dangerous waste, such as chemicals, paint, asbestos or gas bottles
- waste from a business or trade
- running machines or gym equipment
- DIY waste, such as doors, windows, bathroom or kitchen units, fireplaces and flooring
- garden waste
- car parts, including tyres
- fence panels or bundles of wood
- fence panels and bundles of wood
