The Council is here for every resident in the city, throughout their lives. A lot of what we do goes unseen until you need us – but we’re here to help from the moment you’re born, through your life in the city, and when you need us in later life.
Every day, your Council Tax helps to pay for hundreds of different services which supports everyone from children and young people to families and vulnerable older people – making sure nobody is left behind in Coventry.
Of course, a lot of what we do wouldn't be possible without the support of our partners and the people of Coventry. Together, we're focussed on making Coventry a better place to live, work and visit.
Did you know we deliver hundreds of services a year?
They include:
- maintaining and repairing 551 miles of roads.
- repairing thousands of potholes.
- managing 17 libraries that see 750,000 visits per year.
- managing and improving six award-winning Green Flag Parks and open spaces.
- emptying 10 million bins.
- supporting about 5,000 older people who need our help.
