Self-help resources
If you're in crisis
Our local mental health crisis line, managed by Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust can now be accessed via NHS 111 and selecting ‘mental health option’. It can also be accessed online via 111.nhs.uk.
For people who are deaf or have hearing loss, use the following link to be connected to local crisis service – NHS 111 – SignVideo.
Specially trained mental health staff will speak to callers, discuss their urgent needs, and assess what the best way to support them is depending on their symptoms.
Anyone can call for themselves or someone else can call for them, for example a friend, carer, family member or GP. NHS 111 is for all ages, including children and young people and those with neurodevelopmental needs.
If people have physically harmed themselves, or if their life is at immediate risk, then they should continue to call 999 or go to A&E.
If a person is not in a mental health crisis, but feels they need mental health support, they should begin by making an appointment with their local GP.
For health and care professionals, the Mental Health Access Hub number will remain open for use: 08081 966798.
A crisis could be a time when you are unable to keep yourself safe.
