Direct Payment Survey
The Care Act 2014 states that “Councils and Local Authorities should the aim to enable anyone to make good use of Direct Payments” The Act also says that Councils and Local Authorities must have regard to the importance of beginning with the assumption that the individual is best placed to judge the individual’s “wellbeing” which means that professionals should try to ensure that information regarding Direct Payments are shared with you, so that you and or your representative on your behalf can make an informed choice regarding the use of Direct Payments to meet your assessed care and support needs.
As part of our ongoing commitment to offering individuals a Direct Payment we want to hear your views about your experience of receiving and using a Direct Payment to meet your assessed needs. Your feedback will be used to help us understand how the process of setting up and using a Direct Payment feels for people; what is working well and what can be done to improve the support offered.
We have developed a short online survey for individuals and or their representatives who have recently been through the process of accessing a Direct Payment and would like to share some of their experiences with us.
Below are a few of the questions that the short online survey asks:
- were you given any leaflets about direct payment and personal budgets to help you in making the decision to have a Direct Payment?
- can you tell us how you used your Direct Payment?
- tell us your experience of having a Direct Payment?
- how satisfied are you with the ongoing support you receive with your Direct Payment?
- do you have any suggestions on how we could improve your experience of having a Direct Payment?
