Warm Homes: Local Grant

The Warm Homes: Local Grant is being used to upgrade homes in Hillfields, Upper Stoke and Lower Stoke to improve homes through retrofit. These home improvements will make homes warmer, more energy efficient and help to lower energy bills.

What is retrofit?

Retrofit means adding upgrades like insulation, draught-proofing, and better heating systems to reduce heat loss and could help to save money on energy bills.

How does the funding work?

Through the Warm Homes Local Grant, there is £3.6 million of funding to help us retrofit homes in Hillfields, Upper Stoke and Lower Stoke. It’s important to know that funding is limited and that this project is part of a bigger aim to make homes in Coventry more energy efficient. Depending on eligibility and property needs, the energy saving upgrades you could receive may be free.

What happens when you sign up?

  • You will then get a call with an expert at E.ON, our Strategic Energy Partner.

  • A retrofit assessor will visit your home

  • If your home qualifies and funding is available, someone will contact you to find out what is available and start the work

Signing up doesn’t guarantee funding, but it’s the first step to being considered.
