Parking restrictions
We control parking to improve road safety, reduce congestion and pollution, balance parking provision and ensure access for emergency vehicles. Parking restrictions are indicated by road markings and/or signs.
There are many different types of parking restrictions. Some examples are:
- no waiting at any time (double yellow lines)
- no waiting at certain times (single yellow line)
- no loading / loading only
- limited waiting
- residents’ permit parking
