Parking restrictions

We control parking to improve road safety, reduce congestion and pollution, balance parking provision and ensure access for emergency vehicles. Parking restrictions are indicated by road markings and/or signs.

There are many different types of parking restrictions. Some examples are:

  • no waiting at any time (double yellow lines)
  • no waiting at certain times (single yellow line)
  • no loading / loading only
  • limited waiting
  • residents’ permit parking
