How we carry out parking reviews

In order to maximise efficiency and provide best value for money, we undertake periodic reviews of parking restrictions across the whole city, rather than introducing new restrictions at just one or two locations at a time. In each review, we consider if any changes or new parking restrictions are needed, based on requests that we have received since the previous review.

We do not install restrictions solely to protect vehicle or pedestrian dropped crossings, as our Parking Enforcement Team can take action if a dropped crossing is obstructed without a parking restriction being in place. Furthermore, we do not routinely install restrictions to resolve neighbour disputes.
