About the Job Shop

Coventry City Council Job Shop has recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary. In which time we have supported over 65,000 Coventry residents with tailored 1:1 support, successfully assisting nearly 15,000 people into paid employment, and have worked with over 200 businesses each year to find vacancies relevant to our customers.

Customers are supported by experienced employment coaches to secure financial independence, upskill, enter training and education, and receive barrier-breaking support, tailored personally to their individual needs.

Now funded by the UKSPF government funding, we are delighted to be able to offer this support to Coventry Residents that identify as being furthest away from the Job Market.

The Job Shop now has a new project across Coventry & Warwickshire to support individuals with mental health or health related barriers to find or stay in employment.

• Access to travel, interview clothes, training costs and child-care support
• Well-being and confidence support
• Knowledgeable signposting and wrap-around support from agencies city-wide.
• Access to free training, basic skills and sector-based qualifications.
• Invites to job fairs, SWAPs and recruitment events
• Continued support once in employment

Are you aged 16+ and currently not in employment? 

The Job Shop provides an outreach service. At each location a Job Shop Employment Coach will be present to help assist and support residents of Coventry.
