98124: Force Contact Centre Officer

Salary: £27747 - £31296

Location:  Birmingham, B6 5DD

Vacancy details: 

  • You will advise and guide victims and witnesses whilst gathering and recording information to help prevent, reduce and detect crime.
  • You will play a critical role in the first few minutes of a call which will shape the police response and have an impact on the outcome of crises and emergencies.
  • To be able to work nights, lates, and early shifts along with weekend working as the role is full time Respond quickly and decisively to calls for assistance from the public Support digital desk work including ‘Live Chat’ Ensure that the appropriate manager is informed and updated regarding any issues where necessary 
  •  Make clear, timely decisions ensuring all calls for service are assessed, graded and dealt with in line with National Decision Model, THRIVE+ and force policy
  • Provide appropriate support, advice and/or guidance to victims and witnesses. 

98148: Police Community Support Office 

Salary: £28302 - £29874
Hours: Full time
Location: West Midlands 

Vacancy details:

  • Level 2 ( Eg: GCSE's A*- C; NVQ Level 2) 
  • Connect with communities, empowering and encouraging them to become more involved with the policing of their area.
  • As part of this you will represent West Midlands Police at local events, conduct meetings within the community and deliver presentations at schools Identify and understand key issues and crimes and work with the public to remove and prevent these Understand the diversity and demographics of your community and find ways to engage with harder to reach community members 
  • Be able to talk to community members about the issues affecting them Maximise opportunities to gather intelligence about harm and criminality through enhanced relationships with the community, partners and colleagues Work with partners to deliver agreed objectives
