81662: Outreach Officer

Salary: £14,625 Per annum
Hours: Part Time
Location: Coventry CV5

Vacancy details: 

  • The Outreach Officer role will be to reach further into the various communities of Coventry to provide general information about sight loss, raise awareness of the challenges it presents for people and to signpost clearly further sources of support, including and especially the services provided by Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind. The role includes providing a significant amount of casework support.
  • To hold information/contact sessions in local community groups around Coventry to maintain and develop consistent, comprehensive and accessible presentation.
  • Present clear signposting/referral routes.
  • Record events & attendance to Provide advice and support to individuals as required.
  • Open case records for those requiring further support.
  • To hold monthly information desks at libraries in outer and underrepresented areas of the city o Provide advice and support as required o Open case records for those requiring further support.
  • To support the CRCB helpdesk service responding to enquiries via telephone and email, in-centre and at-home appointments, drop-ins and community contact sessions. 
  • To capture and record data and outcomes for reporting and management in accordance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
  • To support the charity and volunteers at events, by arrangement, involving occasional out-of-hours work.

82567: Trainee Careers Advisor

Salary: £26,224 - £30,595 per annum

Location: Coventry 

Vacancy details: 

  • Provide careers advice to adults, within the local community, face to face and via a range of other methods including telephone, email and other digital means to help them to achieve work or learning goals and proactively referring to relevant qualifications and or jobs
  • To achieve the monthly targets and KPI’s and meet the needs of your caseload through customer feedback and localised delivery plans. Key targets are set on Careers advice appointments, participants seen and Jobs and Learning outcomes gained
  • Manage a caseload of participants and maintain participant records in line with contract and funding requirements
  • Ensure regular Advisor / participant contact is maintained and recorded
  • Provide quality, impartial Advice and Guidance so the customer has a clear journey of activities to achieve career management goals
  • Effective recording of co-produced career management activities via SMART actions on the customer action plan, detailing how the customer can achieve their learning and/ or Job outcome goals
  • Review and update customer action plan using SMART actions to evidence activities that supports achievement of secondary career management goals (once first Job or learning outcome is achieved) to claim the third outcome

82569: Employment Advisor

Salary: £31,002 - £36,744 per annum

Vacancy details: 

  • Ensure achievement against service delivery KPIs, targets and outcomes
  • Engaging participants referred to the Work and Health programme, assessing their support and development needs and working with them to co-produce an action plan (PIAP) into sustainable employment
  • Ensure real time updating of the PEPs database system to ensure quality interventions are recorded and that reporting and management information data is effectively utilised to ensure a quality journey of support
  • Brokering and sustaining excellent working relationships with Key local stakeholders to support Participant development at all stages of their journey in to sustained employment from JCP, to Employers and other community based organisations, creating positive outcomes for our participants, whilst ensuring non duplication of support
  • Undertake in-work support activities to ensure an individual is able to maintain their employment, identifying and overcoming any risk to achieving this to ensure sustained employment is achieved
  • Independent, effective caseload management through organising and coordinating a varied timetable of activities, including one to one meetings, job clubs, group sessions and other innovative interventions to progress participant caseload to work ready and in to sustained employment bespoke to their needs
  • Supervise and guide the volunteers in order to provide participants with additional support to access community provision, thereby creating a ‘circle of support
  • Ensure the use of Time Credits as a tool to engage and develop participants through volunteering in the local community
  • Be fully responsible for all tasks related to journey / case management function including maintaining effective and efficient administrative procedures, prioritising and producing appropriate records and reports
